Good luck! I can't wait to hear your responses!

I think you did an excellent job with this entry. You chose a very
interesting pure form to learn about and you asked extremely
insightful questions. I think that your question about why music would
need to exist in the world of the forms is intriguing. Logically, I
find it hard to define why exactly we need art and music in our world,
or why it is important, and I think you're right - it must be even
more important in the world of the forms!
As for knowing the pure world, that is something that comes to each
person in their own way. There is no formula for gaining this
knowledge. Keep reading, and keep questioning, and eventually you'll
reach your own conclusions about the truth of the forms.
Great job!

Since there is more to everything in the outside world, music probably has a bigger role in it too. What I want to know is what the power and the effect of music in the new world. What is music's point (why would music exist there?) If a shadow of a tree has little perpose compared to a living tree that is home to many creatures who effect us in the environment we live in (ex. shelter) and the food chain in which we take part in, what is music's role in the pure world. It has to be sooo much more! My biggest question now is if we are supposed to see the pure world and its ways, how do we do that, and if anyone knows what they are (all that knowledge is), tell me. Do we ''have'' to know what the outside world is and if we have to learn it on our own, tell me what there has to be done in order to gain that knowledge? ''What must I do?''

Wow! What a unique perspective! I especially like how you took it the
step further to realize that since you already possess all knowledge,
knowing yourself fully should reveal the truth within you.
Great job, keep thinking about what knowing your pure self would
really mean: would it contain all the memories that you've ever had?
What would that do to your understanding of yourself and your actions?
Ms. V.
Very interesting. What do you mean by your shadow? Are you talking
about the physical shadow? Or the shadow as it relates to Plato's
Cave? For example, would you be the form that is walking down the path
who's shadow is being cast by the fire in the cave? If so, what do you
hope to learn about your own shadow?
Keep thinking!

Great insights. I agree that knowing yourself is a huge step towards
reaching your potential. What do you think you could accomplish if you
knew your pure form? How would knowing your pure form enhance your
life?
Just some stuff to think about...
Ms. V.
What do you think you could accomplish if you had perfect knowledge of
the mind? Do you think it's possible that if you understood your mind
perfectly that it would no longer be a place of comfort, a place you
could retreat to?
Keep going!
