The course-collect folder is useful, but it would be more useful if the names of the folders containing the students' files would help identify the student. Instead I see strings of characters such as7e46bd8e-e11a-4df1-977e-e5d5cf878642. Is there a way to change this to the student's name?
Thanks,

There isn't. I've created an issue here with further discussion:

That would be a useful change.  However, I should mention that accessing the folders directly is not the best way to grade their papers.  The easiest approach is to open your course file, click on the assignment tab, and select the assignment you want to grade.  Then, you can open the collected folder and do your grading (and grade submission) all from within the course environment.  This is a quick way to work through your students' papers and you can see their names, grade you entered, etc.

...but sometimes necessary, e.g. when travelling around (and no (stable)
internet connection), I sometimes (often) sync all the folders to my
laptop before to have it locally, then grade offline, then sync back.
To manage the folder names, I have some (ugly) script, which extracts
the information from the course file and creates symlinks.
