We use https://trac.sagemath.org and https://git.sagemath.org for development, but the github repository is usually kept up to date.  Just don't submit pull requests there.

I tried cloning the latest code using `git clone https://git.sagemath.org//sage.git`. but it can't clone.

Although I do have sage-7.4 locally installed.

What should I do to get the latest development code to make changes?
