I noticed today that when I collected or returned within a course, the box that lists the current student(s) being collected/returned now floats as I scroll, rather than being anchored at the top of the page. This is a nice change.

However, I also noticed that whenever I opened a student folder and then returned to the course file to input the grade, the assignment I was grading was no longer open. I had to click on the assignment and scroll down to the current student to input their grade. In the past, when I returned to the course file it would be in the same place I left it.

Are others experiencing this? It makes grading take longer.

Thanks,

Aaron

This is no longer a problem. If someone fixed it, thank you.

John Jeng fixed it (nontrivial amount of work -- thanks!), Harald Schilly and I reviewed it, Jayadev also complained, prompting a prompt update.

Thank you, John!

It was only one extra step, but repeated dozens of times. You have saved me lots of time.

Aaron,

Since you're actually grading regularly (and us devs aren't right now), when you notice any other extra steps or friction that could -- in theory even -- be eliminated, please don't hesitate to let us know.  We might not be able to fix things now, but at least we can put your idea on the roadmap (https://github.com/sagemathinc/smc/issues).

OK, I'll be on the lookout for potential improvements.

Thank you.
