News from SageMath, the Sage Mathematics Software System!

SageMath 8.3 was released on 2018-08-03.

SageMath, also known as Sage (website: http://sagemath.org/), is
developed mostly by volunteers and combines over 100 open-source
packages with over a million lines of new Python code.

The compiled version for most operating systems (as well as the
source files if you prefer to compile Sage yourself) are available
on our download mirrors worldwide:

* http://www.sagemath.org/download.html

(We send the announcement a few days after the release so that
most versions will have made their way to the download mirrors.)

A SageMath native installer for Windows is available at

* https://github.com/sagemath/sage-windows/releases

SageMath 8.3 can be tried online via SageMathCell and CoCalc:

SageMath is also available as a Docker image, and is packaged
for Conda, various GNU/Linux distributions, Homebrew, etc.;
a bootable USB called SageDebianLive, and a virtual machine
appliance called SageAppliance, are also available.
