Role: SAP ABAP Developer
Contract
Duration: Durham, North Carolina(3 days Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs across multiple SAP modules (ECC or S/4HANA).
· Work onsite with business users and functional consultants to gather requirements and clarify technical needs.
· Design, code, test, and debug ABAP objects including:
· Reports (Classical & ALV)
· Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs)
· Enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework)
· Forms (SmartForms, Adobe Forms)
· OData services
· Support integration with other SAP and non‑SAP systems.
· Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and quality assurance activities.
· Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
· Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to ensure smooth delivery.
· Document technical specifications, test scripts, and deployment steps.
Required Skills & Experience
· 5–8+ years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
· Strong understanding of SAP architecture, data structures, and integration points.
· Experience with ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, and modern ABAP practices (preferred for S/4HANA environments).
· Solid experience with interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
· Ability to work directly with business stakeholders in an onsite environment.
· Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with S/4HANA development.
· Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 development (bonus).
· Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models.
· Prior experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, or finance processes (if relevant to your client).
