Job Description :

This role is primarily a Quality Engineering position within the Oracle E-Business Suite Production Support team, focused on validating application stability, business process quality, and release readiness across production support initiatives. The resource will partner with support analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to design and execute test scenarios, validate fixes, perform regression testing, and improve release confidence for production support changes. The ideal candidate brings strong techno-functional understanding of Oracle EBS business processes, especially BOM, WIP, OM, INV, and WHS, along with a disciplined approach to test case development, execution, defect management, and test traceability.

Work Location

This position is expected to work onsite in the DFW location and collaborate closely with business users, support teams, developers, and Quality Engineering stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Quality Engineer within the Oracle EBS Production Support team, ensuring defects, enhancements, and fixes are validated before release.
• Develop test scenarios, test cases, test data, and validation coverage for Supply Chain processes including BOM, WIP, OM, INV, and WHS.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and defect validation testing across Oracle EBS environments.
• Analyze production incidents and support tickets to identify quality risks, validate fixes, and confirm business process readiness.
• Partner closely with production support analysts, developers, and business users to clarify requirements, reproduce issues, and validate outcomes.
• Document test results, log defects, retest fixes, and maintain traceability of quality engineering activities.
• Support release cycles by coordinating validation activities for patches, break fixes, updates, and production support changes.
• Assist in end-to-end validation of integrated business flows across upstream and downstream systems.
• Help improve quality engineering standards, test coverage, reusable test assets, and support documentation.
• Communicate testing status, quality risks, blockers, and defect trends to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Engineering, software testing, or test coordination within an Oracle E-Business Suite environment.
• Strong understanding of Oracle EBS Supply Chain processes and modules, particularly BOM, WIP, OM, INV, and WHS.
• Ability to translate business requirements, production issues, and functional changes into effective test scenarios and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with test case development, test execution, regression testing, and defect lifecycle management.
• Experience validating production defects, fixes, and release changes with support and development teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with business users, developers, analysts, and support stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Techno-functional knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials modules.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools preferred.
• Experience supporting quality engineering activities within a Production Support or application maintenance environment.
• Familiarity with release validation, regression planning, and production readiness testing.
• Experience supporting integrated business processes spanning Supply Chain and Finance.
• Knowledge of Oracle EBS data structures, interfaces, and support processes is a plus.

 

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented Quality Engineer who is comfortable working within a Production Support team, can balance speed with engineering discipline, and is effective at validating changes that protect business continuity in a fast-paced Oracle EBS environment.
