Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Architect with strong expertise in the retail domain, specializing in designing and developing scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep architectural knowledge, hands-on development experience, and strong domain understanding of retail supply chain and inventory systems.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AI/ML-based solution development is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and design of enterprise-grade Java applications for retail inventory planning and supply-chain systems.
  • Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging GCP services such as Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, etc.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and best practices to development teams.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise standards in software design, coding guidelines, and performance optimization.
  • Conduct architectural reviews, code audits, and application performance tuning.
  • Drive innovation using AI/ML models, including demand forecasting, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and intelligent automation for retail systems.
  • Improve system reliability, scalability, and performance through continuous architectural enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development and enterprise architecture.
  • Strong experience in the Retail Domain — including supply chain, merchandising, inventory planning, and store operations.
  • Deep expertise in:
    • Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)
    • Microservices Architecture
    • RESTful APIs and distributed systems
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying applications on GCP (mandatory).
  • Experience integrating AI/ML solutions into enterprise applications (preferably in retail).
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native patterns, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
