Hello my name is Michelle Loewen
My age is 27
I am from Edmonton Alberta
I studied Digital Art at Grant MacEwan College (Do you have to be a
current student????)
I first heard of SAGA at a John Humphrey Centre planning meeting for
UN Youth Assembly in Edmonton
My favourite t-shirt design is Africa needs more love with the
Elephants
I have been to the following countries: Kenya, Mexico, USA
and lived in 2 different countires: USA, CANADA
I like SAGA because I think it's great to make young people aware of
the situation in Africa, and we can never do enough. I think the most
important thing we can do is try and get African students themselves
involved, so we can work together to create change.

I am 22, and am an Immunology and Infection Student at U of A, in my
fourth year.
I am from Newfoundland originally, but grew up in Zimbabwe, the
Seychelles, and Scotland as well.
I am really passionate about international work and international
awareness, particularly in the Health field, but also poverty in
general. I would love to get involved with SAGA as much as
possible...where do I sign up?
I first heard about SAGA through another U of A organisation I work
with, SIHA. I like what SAGA does because it is meaningful, effective,
and sustainable, which is why I want to get involved!
I have been to a lot of countries, All over Canada, the US, France,
Italy, Germany, the UK, Scotland, India, Hong Kong, Australia, New
Zealand, Thailand...pause for breath.... and all over Africa,
Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Egypt,
Nigeria, The Seychelles, and the United arab Emirates. I love all of
the SAGA t shirt designs, they are very unique, and make great gifts!
