Flamerule 2
Every day I spend in this group I learn of more of the curious things
of Faerun. While heading towards the cave entrance of the shining
white we saw a headless corpse. I would typically consider this a bad
omen, but nothing to lose ones head over. Roderick approached it to
pay his respects or to do whatever priestly duties are required when
seeing a headless corpse, and the greatest thing happened, we found
the corpses missing head! Only now it had sprouted wings from its
ears, paralyzed Roderick and attacked us. I know not of this man when
he was living, but his disembodied head was a pain in the ass.
Clayton tried charging it, I shot some arrows at it, swords clashed
and well it died.
Next when we finally made it to the entrance of the cave, a hala of
Branta were grazing there. Again, nothing can ever be easy on this
trip. We hid by some rocks to the right of the enterance and tried to
scare them off. This worked except one baby branta was left behind.
It charged us and we ended its life early. Amrielle was trying to
heal it, and I being the kind hearted man I am used my wand of healing
on it. This was a grave mistake. I’m never helping a wild animal
that attacked us again. This orc-brained Branta, instead of running
away, attacked us again. Roderick almost died from its attacks and
Clayton ended its life once again. Next time I try to impress
Amrielle I think I will play her a song instead of healing a vicious
animal. It hurts less.
The cave entrance to the shining white was adorned well. White half
circles were dug in the dirt and above a door was written Tocho
Togquos __ Flame. We came upon a ghostly being. After trying
everything to ward ourselves, we walked through it. It felt like our
very life force was being drained from us, much like when Clayton
tries to have an intelligent conversation. I am growing very tired of
undead beings. They are never nice. Just once I’d like to meet an
undead being who has a kind word to say instead of Muuuuuhhh brains
death blah blah. It’s getting very old.
In the cave we walked into a room with scratch marks on the wall.
After clayton poked every surface he was bested by this room and fell
down into a pit. We grew tired of this place and headed back to the
Giant Eagles. They took us to their nest and the Eagle priest healed
all of our wounds. I never before knew how hospitable Giant Eagles
could be. Kieran seems to be very fond of them too. The Giant Eagles
posed a good question to us that I hope we evaluate and ponder upon.
What are the ramifications of helping the Griffon Tribe grow
stronger? I hope this mission does come back to haunt us, much like
these undead.
Note: Flamerule 2 - 6 spent at the giant eagle camp.

We had to pass through the damned Spectre again. It sucked the very
life force out of Kieran and I. It must be a female Spectre. We
entered a hidden door that had the words King above it. Two White
blue Kobold looking things attacked us when we ventured deeper in the
cave. They are the spawn of a white dragon called “white spawn
Hoardlings”. They have the ability to freeze everything in front of
them. They also have the ability to die. Their second ability was
more prevalent. In a room with a waterfall unfortunately ran into a
Yeth Hound. Clayton wrestled with the beast and held it down as
Roderick dumped Holy Water over it. It was the most ridiculous fight
I’ve ever seen. I swear Clayton will wrestle anything. To our
benefit he is rather gifted at it. We saw a painting of Uthgar with
an Inscription reading “Only my descendents can pass” we decided to
skip it and not find out what would happen if we broke that.
In the Warrior door Roderick found 12 zombies and with the aid of his
God destroyed all of them. It was very impressive. I am very glad to
have him with us. We battled with many more undead in these halls.
Roderick went down while fighting ten gouls. I was able to use my
wand to bring him back. I hope he will return the favor. We found
the tomb of Ulen Misthunter who as legends tell had a Horn that could
conjure fog and control it in battle. We did not steal it though,
that just isn’t our style to desecrate the tomb of a legend. When
coming out from his tomb a spectre came through the walls and drained
the strength from Clayton and Amrielle. We battled it and sent it
back to where ever specters come from. We cannot leave this tomb fast
enough…
Do you want to delve further into the burial mound or go back and rest/
heal/restore?
Jer: I do have your stuff at my place. I'll bring it.
Jason: I have Rod's char sheet. I'll bring that too.
Everyone: I'm excited.
... is that even a choice?! I vote we rest! :)

Current status: everyone (except Clayton I believe) currently has
suffered a negative level. After 24 hours, if unhealed, that stuff is
permanent.

Good point, and smashing their sacred burial mound may just leave a

rid of this life sucking spirit?
