Were still at Griffons nest and some of the people here have been
quite hospitable. One of the bardic chanters was singing a song
based on our exploits. This was a nice change. He wrote the
following:
"They fearlessly trek to Fallen Fathers' Home,
Where no fell foot may ever alight.
For even now ancestors restless roam,
Can even outsiders set all right?"
He also told us not to go deep into the mountains...Frost Giants under
the rule of Jarl Orel live there, but Jarl hasn't been seen for many
months, and the Frost Giants haven't been active. I’d still rather
stay away from that kind. If there is one thing I don’t like it’s
being stomped on by giants. If there are two things I don’t like it
would be getting stomped on by giants and being slapped in the face
for merely telling a woman about her fantastic… assets… yeesh, some
women can’t take a compliment and barbarian women slap hard…
On a brighter note me and Kieran played fantastically. A masterpiece
almost good enough for the gods.

The weather is as cold and fridgid as Amrielle, I’m not a fan of hail
storms.
Kythorn 18
Today we set out to Mirabar. The fog was clinging to the hills. At
least it isn’t as bad as yesterday.
Kythorn 19
The rain was pouring as hard as I’m sure Amrielle father did when he
found out she wasn’t a man. But I guess she has made up for that.
Tonight we stayed on the edges of the Lurkwood. We could hear howls
and such coming from deeper in. I’ve heard stories of wolfmen who
live in there. Oh how I long to be in the Moonwood with Allonna.
Just the thought of her warms my heart on these cold nights. No other
woman could ever compare to her beauty. If I could just finish my
masterpiece I know she would fall for me. I feel like the practice me
and Kieran have been doing is paying off. If not maybe I’ll use
barbarian tactics I learned from Griffons nest. Maybe a rock to her
head would do me as much good.
Kythorn 20
We’re getting closer to Mirabar. We saw an old couple traveling from
there today. I’m tired of traveling.
Kythorn 21
Raining as hard as Amrielles father again. Out of no where during our
travels upwards of twenty wolves circled and attacked us. It was odd
to see them attack travelers like that face on, but they were
famished. We ended their lives easily enough. Most likely do to my
inspiring music. I don’t know what these people would do without me.
After our slaughter we ran into some Guardsmen of Mirabar and they put
us up in their camp. The main Guardsmen was named Lucas Scolar, a
nice enough man. There was also a hardy dwarf named Ulfen Coalbeard.
We stayed up with them most the night as they shared their ale and we
shared our stories.
Kythorn 22
It was a cold foggy day when we entered Mirabar at high sun. I asked
around town to see what we could expect on our way north to the
Shining White. They told us there were Giants, Dragons, Orcs,
Goblins, Uthgar, Frost Giants, undead, remoraz. Pretty much
everything I didn’t want to hear. This trip is sounding like more of
a bad Idea every passing day. We have to stop the attacks on
Longsaddle though and this seems the best way. Plus this is great
material for loosening the cords of a corset!
Kieran and I headed into the Ghost Rothe Tap Room and brought down the
house. We played a masterpiece even the gods would love. If Allonna
could only have been there! It was a much classier place then we are
used to.
Clayton got in a fight today with some local trash. Clearly trying to
compensate for something. Of course he won in 3 moves, he’s a very
good fighter. In fact next time I should probably bet more on him,
unless of course we are in Griffons nest…
Kythorn 23
It was haling again on our first day out from Mirabar. Or Minibar as
Clayton says. Ugh I hate hale.
Kythorn 24
Today was not a very good day. The winds picked up and on only our
second day of travel Amrielle tracked four humanoid figures that were
with a big caravan of hoofed animals. Great job Amrielle, that
caravan was a band of Orcs. We tried to ambush them but due to
unforeseen circumstances and Clayton joining the side of the Orcs as
he shouts “There she is!” giving away Amrielle’s location and our only
chance of killing the Leader of the Orc Band. There were like a
hundred Orcs and ten dire boars. We took out a few and bearly made it
out of our lives, even with Roderick there to heal us. This trip
continues to be a bad idea. Also note to self. Buy scrolls of
Invisibility. I’m far too young to die…
Kythorn 25
We headed back to Mirabar to heal up and get supplies. This journey
is going to be much harder then we anticipated.
Kythorn 26
Back at Mirabar. Kieran and I did another stunning performance.
We’re starting to get a name for ourselves here. Kieran actually
started picking up ladies too. I’m so proud of him!
Kythorn 27
Nothing of note
Kythorn 28
We headed out towards the Shining White again. Fog rolled over the
hills as we came to the Mirabar Guard Encampment again. They guards
let us know of a Orc marauding party up ahead and informed us of a
rise in Undead. That information just helps me sleep so much better
at night.
Kythorn 29
Well at least it was a warm day.
Kythorn 30
2 more days til we reach the Shining white. We saw Giant Eagles
souring above while we traveled today. Even better then that we were
actually able to talk to them! I’ve heard that some can speak but I
never knew how amazing these creatures really were. Kieran was
completely fascinated by them. Just speaking to them seemed to lift
his spirits. The Eagles let us know of hala of Branta ahead. It’s
best if we stay clear from them.
Flamerule 1
It was a clear day that allowed us to see the magnificent giant Eagles
in the sky. I think they are beginning to trust us more. They gave
us the exact location of the Shining White & Griffon Tribe.
Flamerule 2
We have made it to the Shining White…
Lol! You crack me up! Thanks for the recap. :)
