Certificate Authority (CA) of intermediate certificate will change in Q1 2024

Hi,

Beginning of Q1 2024, the Certificate Authority (CA) of the intermediate certificate that is used to create the leaf certificate to sign the SafetyNet Attestation API response will change. The current issuer GTS CA 1D4 (http://i.pki.goog/1d4.crt) will change to WR4 (http://i.pki.goog/wr4.crt). Note that the root CA will remain the same.

Actions to take

Actions need to be taken only if you are pinning to the intermediate certificate. As mentioned above, the root CA will remain the same.

Timeline

The change will happen in Q1 2024 (preliminary ETA: February 2024).
