Hi,

We're happy to announce that the SafetyNet Attestation API now supports app-restricted API keys. This feature reduces the risk of accidental or unauthorized usage of quota-restricted API keys.

Developers who want to use this optional feature with the SafetyNet Attestation API, should use the isGooglePlayServicesAvailable(Context context, int minApkVersion) method (where minApkVersion is at least 13000000) to check that the device is running an up-to-date version of Google Play Services. Use of app-restricted API keys (for the SafetyNet Attestation API) on devices running earlier versions of Google Play Services will result in errors.

Thanks & Regards,

SafetyNet API Clients Team

P.S. Please continue to send us your feedback to help improve the SafetyNet Attestation API.
