OBJECTIVE In a society
conscious of global warming and carbon emissions, there is a dire need of
effective use and management of energy not only during the construction
but also during the operational life of the Modern Buildings. Also, with
the cost of actual civil work being just 30-40 % of the total
project cost, focus on the functional and operational aspects of the
buildings becomes all the more important.
This workshop explains
some Fundamentals of Energy Efficient buildings and various factors like
Day lighting, Ventilation, noise control etc. It further intends to
impart knowledge on why and how of planned maintenance and maintenance
budgeting.
The purpose of this program is to make the
professionals attending the program capable of taking objective decisions
at the time of building design and also at the time of operations, from
the point of view of functional performance of
buildings. |
|
WHO
CAN ATTEND
The Workshop is
ideally suitable for anyone who wishes to be familiar with the
various functional and performance aspects of modern
buildings.
In general its meant
for Group leaders, Project Heads, Engineers, Designers, Architects working
in/associated with a.) Construction companies / Construction field.
b.) Architectural firms/companies/Consultants, c.) Companies,
Corporate and MNCs having their in-house development and maintenance
departments. d.) Engineering companies involved with designing of
Construction projects. e.) People/ Agencies involved with Outsourcing
Construction Work.
It can be of immense use to Directors, Owners,
Heads, Engineers of companies involved in real estate development and
projects.
Large companies having multiple
offices and buildings of their own will also find it helpful. |
|
PROGRAM
ADVANTAGE With recent
developments in Building Engineering the course is designed to provide the
professional a one step advantage over others through general awareness
about some of the aspects of building which are generally not taught in
under graduate curriculum of either Architecture or Civil Engineering
programs.
In short, the participants will be
introduced to the Engineering side of the Architecture (for
buildings). |
|
FACULTY
PROFILE The workshop will be
conducted by the experts from CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPTT, IIT Delhi. With
