Unfortunately the lack of emails from me have now been due to a lack of incidents. These go back into October.

Apart from the incidents below, Safe Work Australia has also released a report on fatalities related to falls in the workplace.

Qld  - Jockey fatally injured in race fall


Qld – Crush Fatality

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is investigating a fatal incident that occurred on Tuesday 5 November 2013 at a shade sail business in Chambers Flat. A man died when he was trapped between the truck he was working on and a shipping container. It is believed he was replacing a water pump when the truck moved, crushing the worker against the shipping container.

Qld Fatal Fall

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is investigating a fatal incident that occurred on Monday 28 October 2013 at a shade sail business in Townsville. A man died after falling while fixing an anchor point for a shade sail to a 5.25 metre high roof.


Qld Fatal Crush

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is investigating a fatal incident that occurred on Sunday 20 October 2013 at a dairy farm in Biarra (North West of Toogoolawah).

A man died when he was trapped between the hydraulic ram of the tractor and a forklift attachment. It is believed he was preparing to remove the forklift attachment.


NSW – Forrestry work fatally injured
This one has some controversy associated with it due to the presence of protesters on the site
