Hi all,

following up after Dan, I’d also like to introduce myself and see if I can help.

I run Studio NAND in Berlin (https://nand.io) where I am doing lots of data & visualization projects. I even have worked with Safecast data before quite a while ago, see this blog post here https://link.medium.com/UOVb5NnzO5 (I add the direct link to the visualization, as we’ve just recently change some aspects about our setup, which broke older links)

I have a lot of experience setting up data platforms required for our visualization projects. So I am happy to help if needed. I work mainly in Python for data engineering and data analysis as well as Postgres and (newly) Elasticsearch for storage. Frontend-wise I can offer a lot of expertise in everything JS, e.g. React, Svelte, d3, three.js.

I also typed up https://github.com/Safecast/safecastapi/wiki/Onboarding in response to this. Should help give some general ideas on how to start engaging with the code.

Of course, the standing infra is centered around radiation and air data. If you're looking to help with Covid-19 efforts, those are still fairly free form and organized over slack.
