Hi everyone,

I am working at adding Safecast API support for an application I am working on at the moment - a Medcom Onyx manager and visualizer -.

So that I do not risk sending bad data to the Safecast dataset by mistake, I was wondering if there is a "sandbox" mode API access that I can use to test that my uploads work fine before sending real data ? The application will be able to send regular updates to Safecast when connected to an Onyx, so it is ideal for continuous monitoring of a static location...

I think this is something that may be available soon via further test platform development, but unfortunately is not currently supported.

As an alternative, the API submit is just a HTTP POST so if one were truly bored, they could probably make a script to listen on some HTTP port and attempt to parse out the querystring parameters for testing.

Oops, I missed that thread...
Rob operates dev.safecast.org that kind of serves this purpose, please get
In touch with him.

Thanks guys,

Yes, I was in touch with Rob, and I was able to develop my app using dev.safecast.org. stay tuned, release is very soon. An open source data logging app that runs 100% in a Chrome browser and connects to Safecast - and other iot services... Rob already has access.
