Has anyone found a way to analyze the log files?   I can't find a way to format the fields in one package, like GPS, or UTC into local time.  I am not asking how to do this, but if it is together and use able somehow.  These log files length exceeds either software limits or my feeble PC's abilities.  I like the graph in google fusion tables and it does the date conversion nicely, but too much data.
Any thoughts appreciated, I would like to get months of data for a number of meters and do time comparison.    A lead to who is doing this already?

Log files are likely the worst way to do that as they are formatted for a specific purpose and not really friendly to others, the way to do this would just be to query the API for a set user over a set period of time and then you can get whatever fields and data you want.

And don’t forget the QGIS plugin too. :)

Yes,
exactly - you can use QGIS with Safecast plugin to display LOG files and you can also save the attribute table with additional columns like local time to many formats including common spreadsheet formats.

I use the program every week so do not hesitate to ask :-)

Thank you all for the response, I will check out the qgis plugin as this may address some data transformation issues I have.
What I want to do is compare multiple stationary readings for which way the wind is blowing, to be simple.

Is there anyplace else to see where our data is analyzed? Are there reciprocity agreements for the analysis results?  I can only dream of the tools available, and have used just some of them.

There's also dat...@safecast.org

Just send your log file there and it will get you PDF map and you can use it to convert to other formats. The return email includes the manual for how to use the tool.

Thank you for the offer Pieter, the system has a lot of ways to generate outputs I can use.  My interest is more stationary data analysis of readings from multiple meters for waveform and such and friendly tools to do it.   I have to get the queries tighter and or find a better place to process the data and I have other data sources with these challenges that are part of whatever it means.  Good to know folks are working to understand what safecast means, and improve it.
