I have wired it, according to the Guide.

Sandro,

I checked the wire of my GPS (same as you have). And it seems the manual was made with older GPS. Please see my wiring. You need to reverse the black and blue cable. We should modify the manual to let the user check the labels for the pins on the connector first.

Hey Rob, I had the exactly same problem; however, in trying to troubleshoot the problem by attempting to lift the GPS from the adhesive ( in order to read its part number) attaching it to the GPS. I damaged it.

I ordered an exact same model label replacement from eBay
VK2828U7G5LF Module TTL 1-10Hz with Antenna FLASH Flight Control Model H7K9

and I want to verify that this will work as a direct replacement without modification of the GPS module or of the bGeigiezen firmware.

Sincerely, Mac F

Mac,

The VK2828U7G5LF will work. Also the VK2828U8xxx or VK2828U10xx will work. Being the VK2828U10xx being the most newest version with a UBlox U10 chip on it.

Rob,
Before I order the VK2828U10G5LF, could you please confirm:
Does the current bGeigieZen firmware (v3.3.9 beta) automatically support the M10 GPS at its factory settings?

If not, should the module be configured to 9600 baud before installation, or is it's apparent default 115200 baud supported?

Thank you,
Mac F

Hello Rob

Thank you very much for replying so fast. This did the trick!

I just have a follow up question.
Before putting everything into the Case, I tested it and then the QI-Module lit up.
After final assembly, it doesn't light up, no matter if i add a Qi-Charger or not. How should this behave?

Kind regards and thanks again
Sandro

Sandro,

If everything worked before putting everything together in the case, I believe you should adjust the position of the QI power transmitter. One of the reasons we designed the QI charger cradle was to always ensure the transmitter and receiver can properly fit.
What QI external charger do you use?

Warm regards,
Rob Oudendijk
