All,

I decided to upgrade my bGeigie Nano firmware to v1.4.1 today. Finally an excuse to use my FTDI-cable ;-).

https://blog.safecast.org/2018/07/safecast-bgeigienanokit-v1-4-1-features/

I use a High Sierra iMac. Here is what I encountered.

The bGeigieNano_V1.4.1_uploader.app gave an error (no such directory) because I had put it in my [/Applications/Utilities/3rd Party Utilities] folder. Some path seems to be hard-coded. So I put it in the [/Applications] folder. Upon start no error this time, but also no "FLASH" button. The process ran all by itself to the end automatically and the app reported this:

TERM environment variable not set.

The following is a list of the available serial ports:

1. /dev/tty.usbserial-A600AQP9

One relevant port so selecting it automatically : /dev/tty.usbserial-A600AQP9
1. bGeigieNano.hex
TERM environment variable not set.

Writing - bGeigieNano.hex
to port - /dev/tty.usbserial-A600AQP9

The device rebooted and reported 1.4.1 as the firmware version. All went smooth and painless.
