We’ve made a major update to the bGeigie Nano Assembly Manual, which is accessible at the same location as previously at GitHub: https://github.com/Safecast/bGeigieNanoKit/wiki/Assembly-Manual

There haven’t been any major changes to the Nano itself, but the main board has undergone several small revisions since the last manual update, the current version being 1.1r5a. A few components had also developed minor variants as well which weren’t well represented. We also have a lot more experience teaching others how to build the Nano, and a better idea of what order things should be done to avoid confusion and which steps required clearer explanation. We took new step-by-step photos which show the most current versions of everything. Like everything at safecast this was a group effort. Many thanks to Azby, Joe, Louise, and Victor.

Since removing the plastic can cause a large amount of stress to the board if not done properly, I wanted to share with the group an attachment method that would eliminate the optional step in 1.2.4 Display module (OLED).

The idea is to first secure the OLED display board to the standoffs with screws, remove all the pins from the male header, insert them one by one throuigh the display holes into the female header, then solder.  See photo below - inserting the pins.
