iPhone with latest iOS 9 Public Beta. bGeigie Nano with BlueTooth module.

I had seen it before once a week ago, but now it is back in full force. Data collection went fine today, but when it was time to upload, the Drive App seemed to crash, but it actually popped back behind the home screen. No amount of quitting and restarting the app, rebooting the iPhone, tossing and reinstalling the app can make the problem go away. Luckily the data turned out to have been transmitted. So I'm back to recording on the micro-SD.

Has anyone seen this happening?

Something just happened with iOS that is causing this, we’re looking into it now but this problem suddenly appeared for many people overnight.

Any iOS or Swift people who might have an idea feel free to help on this one.

I just tested the Drive app on my iPad and it works as it should, no issues that I can see (yet). This is cool because I can still have the large screen demo mode :). I'll keep on using it and see what happens.

Yes, we are trying to fix right now. iPhone will work too. For the moment.

Hey folks, just wanted to let you know that both the API and iOS app have been updated.

If you see crashes, please make sure to grab version 1.1 from the App Store.

Thanks!

I just tested the new app version and it connects to the BGN, but then nothing happens, only waiting indefinitely. So for me it doesn't work right now. I'll update my system and check back.

No dice, connection yes, but no data.

No crashing is a good sign anyway.

We've been having a lot of trouble with API availability lately (lots of traffic from automated sources) so best to try again if you get basic errors or timeouts.

But this issue is just the BlueTooth connection, or is there more involved?

Oh sorry, I misread.

Not too familiar with the hardware details.

Mine (nano + BLEBee) seems to be connecting fine with the new version.

With the latest iOS 10 beta my iPhone connects to the BGN without issue. Seems the matter has been resolved.
