Buzzer has gone quiet

I fired up my onyx last night and the buzzer in it has gone quiet. If I put my ear right up against the unit I can barely hear it when prior to this it was quite a loud buzzer that could be heard from > 1 meter. I wonder if maybe it's a software or hardware issue? 

Is it a piezo electric buzzer that makes the beep per count? It's odd because I've just kept the unit on my desk so nothing internally should have moved to press up against the speaker to diminish this.

Not a big problem for me, I just thought I'd let the group know.

Yes, it's a piezo electric buzzer.

It's odd that it's got quieter over time, we're investigating changing the drive frequency of
the buzzer which may help make the buzzer louder in general.

Cool, I look forward to giving the new firmware a try. Strange thing was last time I used it about a week ago the buzzer worked just fine. then last night I turned it on and the buzzer is almost silent.
