For the next gen Nano, work is underway for the bGeigie Nano Raku: it will have a different CPU that will have more speed/memory and run a Arduino run-time. Many other improvements in the works as well. Hope to have more news early next year on how it's going to look like.

Yes, kickstarter is how we gauge interest in things from people outside of our own circle, and while we remain interested in the Raku, the lack of interest from the community is a sign for us that other things should take priority so this is firmly on the back burner at this point. Unfortunately hardware development isn’t cheap, if we’d seen significant interest then we would have been able to justify spending additional time and funds on it right away, but alas…-s
