Got mine pre built for 450.- on ebay.
Sadly i had to do some modification because the pre owner did some mistakes in the assembly.

Or if you can wait a bit, Safecast is making the beta line for the bGeigieZen (followup/grade up of the bGeigieNano). https://bgeigiezen.safecast.jp

Also interested in buying bGeigie Zen assembled. Will this option be available? If yes, when?

Alberto and Makarevich,

We did send you both emails for the bGeigieZen orders you had mentioned before in this group with a question if you wanted yellow or black l
inner liner for the Zen. Your email addresses are in the bGeigieZen mailing list.

However, we did not receive and could not find any order or payment in our database.
Can you both check if you made a payment for the order yet?

Regards
Rob Oudendijk

Alberto,

Thanks for the email reply and confirmation that the invoice as indeed not send to you.
As you mentioned in the mail, please order and pay directly on the website, and we will still use your order as being in the first batch of the Zen.

Regards,
Rob Oudendijk

P.S. if Makarevich, can do the same, he also will be in the first batch.

Philipp,

You still have to build it after you received it. :)
BTW, the manual is slowly getting in shape. It is still very much a draft, but feel free to take a peek at  Link

Philipp,

Thanks for your comments on the manual. Very much appreciated.
If most of the manual is done, the Google doc will be on the Wiki page of the Zen on GitHub, so we all edit/share/modify it.

All,

Some updates for the bGeigieZen.

  • The orders for the second batch are starting to come in slowly.
  • We started shipping of the first orders to Hong Kong and USA, and we will soon start putting together the kits and sending them out too.
  • IMG_1228.jpg
  • We created a snap on for the LND7317 tube to be used instead of the metal grid.

Philipp,
Thanks for the feedback on the building of the kit.I am very pleased all worked as expected.
Just wondering how long(not including the preparations etc.) did it take you to build the kit?
Hugs and peace,Rob

It took me less than 1.5 hours.
As already said the cathode wire was to short and I had to find an other wire that has more or less the same sice.
In addition I was a little bit confused, because there were more stand-offs in the kit than needed and i thought I forgot something.

Also I tryied to put in a 18650 protected battery with a button top positiv pole into the metal holder. The batterie was to long and the holder were bend outwards. It was that bad, that i had trouble to put the boad into the pelican case. I have orderdn now a protected 18650 battery with a flat top positiv pole. This should work way better.

As information for the other builder:
If you fire up the Zen without firmeware on the M5Stack it just shows a white screen. Sounds logical after i think about it.
I had additinally the problem, that my usb port on the PC delivert not enough power so the M5Stack crashed repeatatly during connection with the M5Burner. Changing the port solved the problem.

Hi Rob,

i can confirm the flat top batterie fits way better than the other one. I had to cut a little bit more of the rubber inlay but now everything fits perfect.
Now waiting for the wireless charging pad and the set is complete.
First measurements will be taken soon.

Philipp,

Thanks for the feedback. Next batch we will send out, I will make the cut in the rubber liner a bit longer to have the options for protected batteries. The size on the board should just be inside the specs.
