Getting the USB interface board "elevated" as shown at the top of p10 in the PDF file here (https://github.com/Safecast/bGeigieZen/blob/bGeigieZen-SensorReporter-framework/Misc%20documents%20%20and%20software/Manual%20for%20bGeigieZen%20Kit%20assembling.pdf) is not particularly easy. Because the pins need to be soldered as single pins, the black plastic tends to slide and it's very easy for the board to end up uneven.

If you slip THREE of the black plastic pieces to the center of the pin, it is much easier to get it even, since the increased friction of having three means that you need to push pretty hard to get them all to move.

I assume the elevation is to prevent any problems with accidental contacts between the pins this board and the pins for the safepulse board underneath.

Hi James,
Valuable tip, thank you! Yes, it's important that the pins don't protrude too far on the solder side to avoid contact with the high voltage Safepulse module.
Just to clear up the terminology: the little module with the Type C USB connector is the "4056" module, a power supply adaptor and battery charger.
All the best
