to Help Make Vrindavan Safe
these are the rough copies, first draft for the flyers to promote the
petition. I'm not at all happy with the flyers for the world. I think
the one for India is ok. I really need some feed back and
editing......i want to start printing them soon so they can be sent
out around the world once the petition is ready. I think and others
have said that the world petition should be palitable for the general
public and i seem to have a problem with this...please help....regards

Flyers for India
In February this year Lila Salter a 17 year old girl who loved India
more than her own life was murdered in Vrindavan India. She was fluent
in Hindi and used to expound the glories of Vrindavan wherever she
went since she could speak as a small child. Unfortunately it was her
love for India and Vrindavan that led to her demise as she never
wanted to leave even when she knew that she was not protected there.
Her faith in God gave her sense of security even if the local
authorities didn't. She was just one of many tourists and pilgrims
who come Vrindavan and experience crime, corruption and general lack
of peace and safety when visiting this most holiest of places. In
these times of stressful living and the threat of terrorist and war,
people need to be able to take solace in the holy places, regardless
of their religious beliefs. Vrindavan is not just another village in
Uttah Pradesh India it is a unique place rich in culture, spirituality
and historical beauty. It is greatly sort after both in India and
worldwide by those seeking spiritual enlightenment and the number of
pilgrims and tourists are increasing. Vrindavan has become
internationally famous as more and more people embrace Vaishnav
culture and religion. India has become famous as a great source of
spirituality which is what defines this great country from anywhere
else in the world. No other country can boast a place like Vrindavan
with some 5000 Temples in a small area, just a village. There are many
sadhus chanting mantras and expounding scriptures. They can be seen on
almost every corner, but this culture is fast becoming corrupted and
innocent people are finding life more and more unbearable there.
Please let’s all appeal to the government of India to declare
Vrindavan as a tourist place, have a huge crack down on violent crime
and weapons and increase the law and order, bring in tourist police
enforce for the safety and protection of all tourists and pilgrims.
Let’s create a Vrindavan that is a wonderful and secure place for our
future generations to relish in years to come........

all expect to be free to visit the holy places all around the globe
and imbibe the spirituality of that place in safety. Vrindavan Dham is
one such place. It is unique in that there are 5ooo temples in a small
area. A huge amount of pilgrims and tourist flock there every year
from India and abroad in ever increasing numbers. Unfortunately it is
common place for tourists and pilgrims to experience criminal
elements, corruption and general lack of adequate law and order.
Please no matter what your religious beliefs; sign this petition for
those millions who follow one of the oldest and most ancient cultures
and religions in the world dating back more than 5000 years.
Please sign our petition appealing to the government of India to
declare Vrindavan as a tourist place, have a huge crack down on

i have sent the relevant material for the flyer to varahrupa mataji. she said she would look at the mails and discuss with her husband suradas prabhu, who is the head of bhakti kala kshetra and a board member, the possibility of having this flyer distributed and through a stall for all life members and donor patrons on janmastami night. she will bring it up in the board meetings soon for approval.

Fabulous Kunal...thanks, hope you guys have got some good shoes to go
distributing in Mumbai, I think the general public will like to sign
and we can get a lot of signatures there. I still feel if somehow we
could just get one bollywood start to support making Vrindavan safe it
will go a really long way. People in India worship those guys and
follow what they do. Discuss with Radha Priya and the others. Lots of

a good person who will support our cause is hema malini, recently in a magazine i read she said that is loves vrindavan and wants to do something for vrindavan. she also very supportive as she is an MLA or something and got the juhu beach clean up campaign plus restoration of parks and heritage buildings etc. so she will be good solid support. she frequents vrindavan often. another person i read about is yash and avanti birla, who are good followers of krsna and also would like to do something about vrindavan, in the same magazine a few pages later. the probabale problem is that they are life members because of devikinandan das of juhu, an talkin to them would somewhere involve him. since the boys here are not his good books he may treat this as a trifle passing matter, but i'll suggest this to varaharupa mataji. maybe she can do something. lets see.

This issue is bigger than personalities and petty likes and dislikes.
We should put aside our differences for the sake of the higher cause
preaching.....that type of thing has always destroyed and hindered the
preaching in this movement, pettiness is like a cancer eating away at
everything good and it always has that is why so many people are
leaving our family. It is supposed to be the only real movement of
love and compassion on the planet.....Who would leave a happy
family????.....
You can maybe appeal to her that myself and my husband have support of
Australian yatra and we are in good standing there since we have a
Govindas rrant and a preaching centre so we are actively engaged in
prasad distribution and preaching for Iskcon, plus we have been
donating dresses and finances to the temple for 23years...not that
that should matter and it sux that they think like that, but by grace
of Krishna it is a fact.Maybe you can convey that to that mataji? God
i hate even having to say all that, all devotees are valuable and we
do not know how dear they may be to Krishna, why should we have to
have some mundane resume???? Who are we to judge???After all if
Krishna carries what you lack then if there is some lacking it is to
be expected....It is sad, we gave our youths thinking that we were
saving the world and we don't even care to save each other...
See whatever you can find out about those personalities and how to
contact them. Madhu is still in India and I can send him there if need
be. I will be in UK. I think Radha Priya would be a good
representative as she is beautiful and charasmatic, plus she knew and
loved Lila so she has vested interest..our aim is to improve
conditions so Vrindavan is a safe place for all future generations and
for the whole woorld and especially Indians to embibe their own
culture which is fast dissappearing in a maze of materialism...
Maybe Hema Malini has email or some such thing??? ...It is all for
Vrindavan Dham, for preaching, for the devotees, for Krishna......
Devaki also may not like me so that is difficult and may cause a
problem for this project, but i hope not.I hope he does not let his
personal feelings interfere with this, we are all one family of Srila
Prabhupad and one day we will all be packed up together. Krishna is
ultimately the controller, not us . I had to get an Aussie girl out of
jail in Mathura since noone else seemed to be able to despite her
husband sending copious amounts of money for whatever bribes etc....
She was there for 7 weeks, 7 WEEKS!!!! can u imagine?? and my embassy
was concerned she would die since she was an epileptic and without
medication and dangerously skinny. I went to the jail..i would not
even keep my dog there! The day I went she had been beaten up by
inmates and prison guards and could hardly see out of a swollen eye to
sign the power of attorney to me so i could act on her behalf. Anyway
somehow i worked with the embassy and the media and got her out fast,
I did not give a danm what her political standing was in Iskcon......
for some reason it was not a good thing and i stepped on toes, but i
just used whatever resourses i could to get her out of that hell and
it worked. I feel the devotees at that time had so little regard for
her life that they were unconcerned about her plight. She was maybe a
little political and rubbed some up the wrong way, but she was just a
woman alone and she had done a lot of service in her time. It was
quite shameful and i was really amazed that such a thing could happen
in Iskcon, that is an Iskcon i do not know. The Iskcon I know has a
founder acharya who is full of compassion for the fallen conditioned
souls and full of love for his followers and he does not see their
faults but loves them unconditionally...but she is alive and it was
just yet another example of the depth of the corruption and how unsafe
we all are in Vrindavan......
It is the old if it is not happening directly to me then who cares??
Guess it's the same with the Lila issue, but believe me it will happen
to more devotees. If things don't improve Vrindavan will esculate.
There was the case of Kasana the cop who was touching our girls and he
was dangerous. That could have esculated to a rape easily, he was so
corrupt and is just one of may unfetted charactors there...Radhe

Hey Subangi i am in vraj again my dhouther is in spain. She is trying to get involve the gurukulis from there and maybe also the indian embasy in spain. So how are you please send me your email.We got a computer in the house so i can comunicated easy know is Madhu in Vrndavana?.I send this leter about lilaji to some people in America and in Europe she if they get involve the are big people . If there is any need to speak ti Varaha Rupa i know here i help her father so if i get her email i may get her to compromaise your friend missing you

Wonder if people will sign in Vrindavan???? Or too scared??? You will

Hiya, I think the wording for the UK/Out of India needs to be a bit
shorter and simple. If you want to reach more than just devotees maybe
with a slightly different angle.
What size flyer are you thinking? You need it to be visually strong as
well as fitting all your words on, and also force the people who get
lots of info each day to take notice of this one?
have you put the petition on that petition website online?

I will talk to her about it tomorrow on skype maybe? did you print
them yet. Sorry I have had a very troublesome week to say the least..
