The latest from Vrindaban by Bhaktisiddhanta das. Nov. 19, 2008 One local Bengali by the name of Chit rangan worked in my art studio as project manager for 3 years; in that time period he cheated me out of over 5 lakhs rupees. Stealing small amounts over a long period of time nothing showed until he started to cheat in larger amounts when bills had to be paid like the electric and telephone bills. The petty cheating of not paying my workers their due salary and pocketing half and daily cheating on all expenses finally reached my attention and I fired the man in March of 2006. After he was fired I learned more about all the cheating he had done. Then I was told that when my previous manager was killed by tantra (another story of crime rampant in Vrindaban), this Bengali stole all the money from the dead man’s body. From that day on after he replaced the murdered man as my manager this fellow never stopped cheating me. Recently the same man had an argument with his brother and in a fit of passion pushed him off their roof and killed his older brother. The local police called this just a family matter and said there was nothing they could do about this man’s quarrel within his own family. So killing in India is permissible as long as one keeps it in the family, there is no punishment for murder. Tantra cursing is another means to kill without detection, tantrics also know when there is any large storage of cash in any home in any part of Vrindaban. With this knowledge they notify local gundas and they all share in what ever is stolen. I humbly request that all tantric practitioners be subjected to close investigation.
This Bengali stole one of my murties or full size sculpture figures of my spiritual master A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and started to reproduce the figure and made over 50 copies and sold them in the local market at a high cost of over rs. 60,000. Recently the same figure started to appear all over Vrindaban in cloth and fruit shops. There sat my spiritual master like a common commodity to be sold along with bananas and apples. This was the limit, nothing could be more irritating and intolerable than to see my spiritual master degraded and humiliated. My present manager Sri Krishna Gotam approached the local police station at the entrance to Vrindaban near our ISKCON Krishna Balaram temple; the first thing they said was nothing could be done without some bribe. This is common knowledge here in Vrindaban, without the bribe nothing moves. The police are very clever they work in a manner that each party is forced to bribe until the most money offered gets justice. This Chit rangan has stolen over 35 lakhs and nothing could be done without a bribe? Recently he bribed the local police with rs. 40,000 so justice is now a thing of the past. There is so much corruption in Vrindaban on all levels there is no safety or shelter from the local criminals who now feel that any cheating or killing can be done without any threat from the police. Justice can be bought; so there is no peace or security when you have to fear the police. I have the all India exclusive copyright for producing these figures of Srila Prabhupada, in America infringement on copyright laws brings a severe punishment, and any police officer found taking a bribe is immediately suspended and stripped of his rank and office. I humbly request that immediate action should be done to remove all police officers of this Vrindaban town and a new breed groomed to handle the justice that Vrindaban requires. The local FRO should be notified that foreigners are being mistreated by local police officers. I also request that an investigation be done in the murder of Chit rangan’s brother and this thief be brought to justice. Chit rangan should be immediately arrested and his workshop sealed and all the money he stole should be returned. I humbly submit this on behalf of all foreigners living in Vrindaban. This is the state of affairs for any foreigner who wants to take shelter in Vrindaban. Yours truly, Bhaktisiddhanta das/ Alfred J. Valerio. American passport holder Z- 8108723 |
