Rough idea of petition...what you all think...please comment and edit...

It is important that we get the petition up and running so it can be
presented in November at the rally. This is am idea to start, please
feel free to comment and edit........


"To: the Government of India,

In the name of 17 year old Lila Salter who was brutally murdered in
Vrindavan UP in Feb. 2008. Lila felt Vrindavan was the most wonderful
place world wide due to it's spiritual nature being the birth place of
Sri Krishna. Yet she was not safe here and after several incidences
that could have been lawfully dealt with, she was ultimately murdered.
Vrindavan is becoming more and more famous world wide and even in
India due a large number of people converting to Vaishnavism. There
are many foreigners residing here long term and visiting here as well
as many Indians purchasing holiday residences and retirement homes
along with just weekend tourist coming to visit the some 5000 temples
here.

We the undersigned want to petition the Government of India to:
1. Recognise Vrindavan as a major international and national tourist
destination.
2. Clean up illegal weapons and have a crackdown on weapons with
strict law enforcement in the future so that Vrindavan can be a
peaceful and safe place.
3. Have tourist and importantly tourist friendly police en force for
the safety of all national and international tourist and
pilgrims.................. "

I think is good idea...i´m talking to some friends here, and some are
gonna write their bad experiences in Vrindavan, and here for
janmastami there is a big program so i´m gonna print the final
petition (u should send it to me) and make many copies and give to
every1....maybe put a table or something....and here in spain, the
temple president of the farm is very in touch with the indian comunity
and he is friend of the embassador of india from madrid they come to
the temple for janmastami....so that may help....tell me if u thing is
good....i can present them what happend and the petition, maybe there
iss a way they can help....
