Dear Farida,

This is extremely shocking! Sayyida was so dear to me and such an amazing person. I have such fond memories of her from our PWESCR Leadership Institute and also from my several Bangladesh trips. I will miss her so much. It is hard to believe she is no longer with us.

Dear Priti,

I am very saddened to inform you about the sudden death of Sayyida Akhter on 11 April early morning at 5 am. She was suffering from cancer and was under treatment. She was doing well and was able to do normal work. But since February this year, her reports showed metastasis in bone and lungs. She was hospitalized on 7th April and died on 11th April. Please keep her in your prayers.

We are all devastated in UBINIG and in the family.
