GANG- Gaylord and I went to the chapter meeting last night.They started the meeting with the ritual opening from
books that looked brand new. Chapter room had been cleaned and all chairs and sofas organized in a circle. Much neater since my 1st appearance.
Gaylord gave a 15 min history of the house and stressed that we had our "blood" and "emotion"
in the facility and always would. They asked about selling the house and we re-stated that it's an option but only a last option.
Matt Wein the EA stated they had 2 strikes on a 3 strike policy with the college and were going to NOT get strike 3. Three strikes and they are thrown off campus.
No other discussion on strikes.
I gave a review of the Padow's CR meeting. They are planning on us having a complete house inspection during the Xmas holidays.
Matt will tell me how we are going to get in all the rooms. The house gets locked up over holidays except for a back door which has no
lock. We need to change that.
Bill- that comes under repairs in your domain, I think. Thanks in advance.
I told them membership interviews would take place probably in January. Gaylord will get with Pete and devise a plan. John Chandler had asked to be involved.
We need 3-4-5 people to do this process. The process is new to Gaylord, me too. Need other volunteers who would like to be involved.
I talked about leadership and resume development and got immediate interest. We need to give them a shot at any internships
that we have in our businesses so please starting thinking about opportunities.
Attached is an updated list of brothers. 16 currently live in the house. Most other names on the list are "social" memberships
and as I understand not permitted by RMC or SAE National. We can deal with this before 2nd semester and clean this up. This
comes under membership and brotherhood committee.
They did the ritual closing.
