There have been a lot of very thoughtful comments regarding our old fraternity. Thanks to those of you who are meeting in Richmond; a fine group indeed. I am confident there will be positive results from this session. Three cheers for The Immortal Eleven!
Rick T.
I too would like to thank all for their efforts. I know Gene will do a super job of representing our class. I look forward to hearing ideas about how the best 4 years of most of our lives can be either revived or memorialized properly.
Thanks again. Phi Alpha.

Brothers,
The following is a simple agenda; it is only intended to spur the discussions:
1. Discussion of Situation
2. Legal Discussion
3. Plan A
4. Plan B
5. Any Other Plan
6. Going Forward
I had an extensive discussion with Rodney Jefferson today. He was President of the House Corporation in 2005/06 and knows the legal aspects of what we can do. He cannot be there tomorrow, but will work with us going forward. He is trying to get me a copy of the By-Laws by tomorrow. Reed O’Brien is in the same place. I also had a long talk with Bob Baltimore today and he cannot be there but wants to be part of this going forward. Bless you men for caring; I will see you tomorrow at 6:30 PM at Shackelford’s (one of my favorite places by the way).
Phi Alpha,
Earl

Subject: Re: Updated attendees
list for July 27th meeting re SAE at RMC
Brothers- The room we have will accommodate more than 12 but that's what it's set up for.
Gentlemen,
I am resending an e-mail that Mike Carberry sent back in the Summer when we were trying to figure out what we would do with this animal once we captured it. He has succinctly stated exactly what I tried to say at our last meeting on Monday night. The present “house” is a poor excuse for a broken down bar and doses not begin to reflect the character of the original House. As Mike says, we were blessed to have had that House as our Home at R-MC. I propose that now that we are eating this elephant that we have captured that we work very hard to restore that feeling to the present and future Brothers.
For your edification, the new House Corporation Board is working very hard and we have so many other classes involved. Herb Cover and John Chandler are in the final stages of putting together an almost 100% list of Brothers with addresses, phone numbers, and e-mails. Bob Stanton, who, according to Jim Johnston, is putting forth a Herculean effort, has made us an effective Board. I (We) look forward to the times when many Brothers will return to celebrate all our successes.

Thanks for the note. It's good to know that the various comments are
being shared.
My words were harsh and I thought I may have ticked some folks off by
them so it is good to get the feedback.
Thanks to all of you guys who are so diligent in raising this Phoenix
of a house and brotherhood.
All the best,
Mike
All
Earl may have given us too much credit on the list of brothers. There’s still a lot we can do. Here are some stats:
1.) We currently have 540 total contacts (including the deceased).
a. 459 of these contacts have been initiated
b. 81 of those contacts have not been initiated
c. We have a mailing address for all but a couple of contacts
d. We have a deliverable email address for 302 (56%) of these contacts
2.) Verification of contact information
a. We sent an email to those 302 asking verification of contact information
b. We have received responses from 109 (36%) of the 302.
c. Updates have been minimal, if any, except for very recent moves
d. We have not contacted the 238 contacts for whom we have no email address
e. We are using the mailing address from the RMC directory, which has been accurate
3.) The 459 Brothers are classified (after our changes) by SAE National as follows:
a. 408 Active
b. 31 Lost
c. 17 Deceased (I have found several errors in the SAE list)
d. 3 Abroad
4.) The 81 contacts who have not been initiated are categorized as follows:
a. 27 founding brothers from classes 1964-1968 (charter granted in fall 1967)
b. 5 founding brothers from classes 1969-1972
c. 49 “socials”, guests, etc from 1973 to present
Hope this helps. We have the capability of slicing and dicing this data anyway needed. Don’t hesitate to ask.
