SAE Chapter Meeting Sunday NOV 20- Action Items

Gang- I spent 35 mins at the Sunday night meeting. I dropped in after talking to Matt Wien(EA) on the phone.
I introduced myself and talked about 1967 charter year and the background of all the new directors.
We had friendly healthy discussion and they gave the following feedback:
1. They want better communication with the new HC Board. When anything needed attention their action was to "call Jimmy".
Never got much of anything on email. It was always "call Jimmy".
2. They feel the RMC admin is anti-Greek as many houses are on social probation or have been kicked off
campus. I told them we were setting up a meeting with the Dean to get all the issues on the table. They had no comments.
3. They feel the bathrooms needed maintenance attention first above all else. . New tile, new showers. I told them we'd do
a walk through to list needs and then prioritize. They also mentioned new blinds for 1st floor rooms. They do look very "ratty".
4. After I discussed committees, I told them 15-20 younger brothers during the election wanted to get involved or re-involved with the brotherhood.
They knew many of the brothers I referenced. Seemed very happy about having more alum involved. They are glad that Doug Baxter and
Kevin White will still be involved.
5. They said that the last house inspection was done one year ago by James Favor an insurance company and that the house needed to meet code or they couldn't get insurance.
Hence the recent push to complete the list. I have requested the report from Jimmy and also from Doug Baxter.
ACTION: Bill Sprinkle- Whether we have the inspection report on not(we'll probably get it before inspection), we should line up an inspection ASAP so we can get the real status of the
house. Plus we want to get action on this to get our credibility established with the brotherhood. Let's move as fast as we can.
ACTION- As soon as I have the list of the DEC chapter meetings, the new directors should all get there for a face to face
meeting. Maybe we could do a walk through at the same time. Every room, nook and cranny. They are usually Sunday nights
at 7pm. I think DEC 4 and 11 are only nights available before semester is over.
EARL, BARKLIE, GAYLORD and PETE- Please let me know if you can make it either of those nights.
