SAE Update

The July issue of the SAE Update member newsletter is now available.

Exclusively published online, Update contains full-color images, a user-friendly interface, additional career-development content, and direct links for more information. While at the same time offering both graphic and content enhancements, the digital format helps SAE International achieve its goal of becoming more environmentally friendly and expands circulation to include all SAE members.

Global Formula Racing repeats as FSAE Michigan victors
The GFR team, a collaboration of students from Oregon State University and Duale Hochschule Baden-Wurttemberg-Ravensburg of Germany, won honors in 11 categories, including the PTC Engineering Design award, Endurance award, and SAE Spirit of Excellence award.

Texas A&M finishes on top at Formula Hybrid
A total of 24 teams competed in the fifth-annual Formula Hybrid competition, founded by the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, that features high-performance hybrid and electric racecars built by teams of graduate and undergraduate students.

SAE Brasil celebrates 20 years
Founded in 1991 by professionals of the automotive and aerospace industries, the SAE International affiliate remains loyal to its objective of promoting mobility technology.

Results of employment study available through EngineerXchange
The "Engineer Employment Study for Mobility Industries, 2011-2016" indicates good news for mobility engineers, with all respondents planning to hire engineers and related positions between now and 2016.
