We are honored to present an incredible evening with master of pigments and materials, George O’Hanlon, owner of the renowned paint supplier Natural Pigments.
Learn all about constructing a painting from the support to the ground and final layers, including discussing how the “fat-over-lean” rule in oil painting is inherently flawed. Practical procedures are described to build your oil paintings according to the studies on the conservation of paintings. The presentation will be followed by questions and answers. This presentation is designed for painters of all mediums, but has special application to oil painting.
Natural Pigments manufactures and distributes rare and hard-to-find materials for fine artists and decorators. They specialize in supplying artists’ materials that were used in historical painting since prehistoric times up to and including the nineteenth century.
