Folks,

I've released a new version of SADI in Python. SADI in Python can be installed via easy_install or pip, or downloaded from pypi: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/sadi. Instructions for installation and use are at https://code.google.com/p/sadi/wiki/BuildingServicesInPython

There are two major improvements from 0.2, and they are:

Asynchronous SADI Support

We can now write asynchronous SADI services in Python. With this change, Python SADI is now a full implementation of the SADI framework. Implementation is still very simple, but allows for varying levels of control, including the ability to have the service wait for third-party results (including from real people). See https://code.google.com/p/sadi/wiki/BuildingServicesInPython#Writing_Asynchronous_SADI_Services for details on how to write an asynchronous SADI service.

SADI with Attachments

Three years ago (or so), Mark, Luke, and I hashed out how to make SADI services support attachments in a flexible way (see https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/sadi-discuss/pdPPPOYAz1o). SADI in Python now accepts attachments via the multipart/related content type. Details on how to use this are at https://code.google.com/p/sadi/wiki/BuildingServicesInPython#SADI_Attachment_Support

Questions and comments are always welcome.

Thanks,
Jim
