On Consuming Intoxicants
Second enormity is drinking alcohol. One of the saints told me in Rishikesh that drinking alcohol is more sinful than eating beef (of a cow that has died from a natural cause). That is why my brothers please stop drinking alcohol. Alcohol is severely harmful. It damages your body. Money is wasted on it. There are lot of people who earn 30-40 Rupees per day, but they have a hard time to run their family because they waste money on drinking alcohol. Big kingdoms had been lost because of alcohol. There are severe disadvantages of drinking alcohol. After drinking alcohol men fight with each other, use abusive language, beat their wives and kids. They rumpus not only in the house but also outside the house. Please stay away from such impaired addictions.
There should not be any addiction other than water and food. We cannot survive without water and food. In order to survive we have to eat food and drink water. But no one is going to die without tea, coffee, cigarette, tobacco, opium, smoking pipe (chilam).

By indulging in intoxicants, you are not only spoiling your habits, but you are also wasting your time, money and health. Consumption of intoxicants makes you sick and brings lots of diseases with it. Whoever drinks tea or alcohol, it burns their intestine and because of that none of the medicines work on them. Initially intoxicant gives boost but that power is not permanent. When I was in Jodhpur, I said something which I shouldn't have said. I asked them whosoever has the most addictions, can come and wrestle with me. I challenged them to speak like me; walk as much as me. I challenged them to compete with me in anything.
But those helpless folks did not have the strength. They pay money to purchase weakness. They pay money and become dependent on addictions. There is no greater sorrow than being dependent.

But you have become a slave of alcohol, pipe (chilam), hookah, cigarette. You can't live without them. There is a saying in Malve language.
