I got this info from my friend who's friend has worked in the factory that prepares Ashirvad and Pillsbury (both from ITC) Atta, Rava and Maida.

It seems that a chemical is added to the wheat before it is being made into flour. This is the chemical that gives the softness, white color to the Atta. He says that the chemical is harmful but it is not being disclosed. In the same way 6 different chemicals are added to Maida to make it White color. When the hands are exposed to these chemicals, it results in hair loss in the hands and the hairs will not grow again.

I feel its better that we buy wheat and make it as flour ourselves :)

Warm Regards,

Thanks for sharing this Gopal, I always insist to my patients to buy good wheat and have it ground to flour.

But we are in an era where the vegetable are being preferred to be purchased in cut form!!!

Who can save one from oneself!! One's own laziness, one's own ignorance can kill oneself like slow poison...  !!!!
