Let’s at least pass the Message on and enlighten ppl on what is the Importance of this Anna Hazare’s Hunger Strike….. !!!!!!!!!

1. Who is Anna Hazare?

An ex-army man. Fought 1965 Indo-Pak War

2. What's so special about him?

He built a village Ralegaon Siddhi in Ahamad Nagar district, Maharashtra

3. So what?

This village is a self-sustained model village. Energy is produced in the village itself from solar power, biofuel and wind mills.

In 1975, it used to be a poverty clad village. Now it is one of the richest village in India. It has become a model for self-sustained, eco-friendly & harmonic village.

4. Ok,...?

This guy, Anna Hazare was awarded Padma Bhushan and is a known figure for his social activities.

5. Really, what is he fighting for?

He is supporting a cause, the amendment of a law to curb corruption in India.

6. How that can be possible?

He is advocating for a Bil, The Lok Pal Bill (The Citizen Ombudsman Bill), that will form an autonomous authority who will make politicians (ministers), beurocrats (IAS/IPS) accountable for their deeds.

8. It's an entirely new thing right..?

In 1972, the bill was proposed by then Law minister Mr. Shanti Bhushan. Since then it has been neglected by the politicians and some are trying to change the bill to suit thier theft (corruption).

7. Oh.. He is going on a hunger strike for that whole thing of passing a Bill ! How can that be possible in such a short span of time?

The first thing he is asking for is: the government should come forward and announce that the bill is going to be passed.

Next, they make a joint committee to DRAFT the LOK PAL BILL. 50% goverment participation and 50% public participation. Because you cant trust the government entirely for making such a bill which does not suit them.

8. Fine, What will happen when this bill is passed?

A LokPal will be appointed at the centre. He will have an autonomous charge, say like the Election Commission of India. In each and every state, Lokayukta will be appointed. The job is to bring all alleged party to trial in case of corruptions within 1 year. Within 2 years, the guilty will be punished. Not like, Bofors scam or Bhopal Gas Tragedy case, that has been going for last 25 years without any result.

9. Is he alone? Whoelse is there in the fight with Anna Hazare?

Baba Ramdev, Ex. IPS Kiran Bedi, Social Activist Swami Agnivesh, RTI activist Arvind Kejriwal and many more.

Prominent personalities like Aamir Khan is supporting his cause.

10. Ok, got it. What can I do?

At least we can spread the message. How?

Putting status message, links, video, changing profile pics.

At least we can support Anna Hazare and the cause for uprooting corruption from India.

At least we can hope that his Hunger Strike does not go in vain.

At least we can pray for his good health.

Anna Hazare says bring back the Black Money.

Do u know what will happen if 1,456 Lac Crores come back?

1. India will be financially No.1

2. Each district will get Rs. 60,000 crores

& each village will get Rs. 100 crores

3. No need to pay taxes for next 20 years

4. Petrol will cost Rs. 25, Diesel 15, Milk 8

8. 28,000 km of rubber road (like in Paris) can be laid

9. 2,000 hospitals (with all facilities); all medicines, free

10. 95 crore people will have their own homes

I wonder what role model celebs like Narayan Murthy and Dr. APJ's take on this, y are they not coming out, holding their cards to their chests, it is their right but if the  issue is burning they too should feel the heat.

I am more amused by Narayana Murthy and Azim Premji. It was Narayana Murthy who trained to paint a picture of how corrupt the system was even in 1986 when he tried to expand the horizons of his company; and how that he had to make compromises and fight wars to do what he wanted. And now when somebody is trying to do the same fight at the time when he has retired from Infosys and has nothing to do, what prevents him from joining this fight?

 

Similar things apply for Azim Premji as well, who was against our corrupt system (well, he talked about this sometime back); even against reservations.

 

Where are they now?

I have posted a link which, I feel that, all of us should watch once. This is a big one, but I request you all to take time to watch.

Many could have seen it in NDTV two days back.

Most of us (as common people of this great country) are direct victims of CORRUPTION.

After watching this video, I felt that Mr. Anna has created a fantastic opportunity for all of us to stand united in fighting against  this evil. We should be supporting Anna and his team unconditionally (regardless of our priorities), more than watching their move as mere spectators.

it is ironical to note that in this modern age of facebooks and tehcnology, 

some old mindset MPs and journo's cynical about a mass referendum on a large scale...

on a widely accepted topic

 

i am sorry we have to bother the middle class icons(or next time they should refrain from criticizing.. of system, process before elite gatherings for life), this is where being techies and role models like APJ, and Narayanmurthy's kick in, who rose from the grass roots, from boy next door to suffocating heights.

 

If they shun us at this moment (like do your duty, pay taxes, and cliche mantra dont run red lights bribe traffic cops etc. )...where do we look upto?...else the movement will die down...or result in a china's tiananmen square kind of oppression.

 

This is an opportunity not only for the toothless middle class but also for their icons to articulate their stance..

 

Their inaction is worse than negative action. akarma.(dhritarashtra and bhesma etc.)

 

Having milked thoroughly, the technical talent of India for decades at least... likes of Murthy, Nandan should encourage technical and accurate means to capture public referendum on the issue...

 

(of course technical method is a later decision)

with minimum investment exemplary solution can be designed and floated to capture the 1.2 billion referendum.

 

The is the age of 2G scam and 3.5 G technology , given one chance to desi techies so far they have been serving off shore clients for a 'few dollars less'....

For once lets design a solution that touches our lives...let the political will be there...technical solution will follow suit. unleash the tiger.

 

They will make the referendum legitimate and possible to collect votes on this issue. from all the 1.2 billion people... but lawyers, bureaucrats and politicians will dampen because they know the result already...which is a conflict of interest ...will the mice will  be allowed to channelize their energies to bell the cat .....ad-infinitum procrastination in the name of debate...will the incoherent rays burn hay stack of sin...? (they can but will the?)

 

history in making...non-violent movement of this scale and plausible hi-tech solution to capture referendum to reach 1.2 billion ppl. enmasse.....best of both worlds...how about it..?

The movement picked up momentum from 'nowhere' so to say.

I see the signature of the Divine behind it. I see all the signs 

and Indications of a great success of the movement.

The Movement does not need, AT THIS STAGE, Narayana Murthys and APJs

or any icons. In fact it would do them good, ethically, morally, socially, politically and even spiritually, if they associate themselves with this Movement.

Babas and SriSris had contributed at the right stage, and are still contributing.

The longer those of the Team opposing dodge the action, the more they get demoralized in the eyes of the Youth - the emerging India. They lose the future.

If they act they have to face the present.

If left to grow by the very strength of the sense frustration fueled

by the non action or dodging techniques....the movement might take the

shape of a new political party - breathing some fresh breath - and that

might be a better choice for the average voter than an eye Bill.

There are Divine Hands that save. There There are Powers that care.

Calm, unbiased Divine Eyes regard the Human scene. Justice will prevail. 

The movement will grow and grow on its own strength.

Before we expect icons from IT or any other industry to fully back Anna in this movement, it is imperative on our part to understand the context in which they are operating. This Govt has proved time and again in the last few years that it can be vindictive and can resort to all sorts of immoral witch hunting. There have been instances where it has used investigating agencies to conduct raids [recent case of YSR’s son, even though he is no angel, the question being what were they doing when he was in Congress?], eliminated whistle blowers [Ex: oil mafia in Maharashtra], make frivolous allegations [Congress spokesperson calling Anna corrupt, open cases against Bhushans on flimsy grounds], or the easiest of them all, call someone or something as being supported by foreign hands and RSS!! For these folks, it is OK to sympathize with SIMI, IM and talk about root causes as to why they came into being, but RSS is a big enemy. Notice how Anna is repeatedly blackmailed on RSS connections and thereby trying to divide the society on communal grounds. In such an atmosphere, NRNs, Premji’s howsoever would want to join this movement would have to think about the repercussions it is going to have on their business. IT folks did well in spite of and despite Govt and not because of their help. They do not fear Govt because they do something bad, but they fear the nuisance potential a Govt can bring in. All it would need is for Pranab Mukherji to make a press statement that he is considering removing the tax holiday provided for IT and ITeS and these folks to be silenced.

fear of persecution at personal level need not be a concern for retired or former IT icons who rose from middle class...at least with their blemish less records...

 

...if not support for an individual and his team's bill....at least voice for a strong anti corruption Lokpal, at this time would add value...nevertheless silence is conspicuous.... after all their padma awards wont be recalled.....this shows how even such big shots are insecure about voicing their opinion where is freedom?

 

yes fear of possible removal of extended tax holiday (which initially started for limited time 10 years if i recall)  could be a deterrent...

 

yes it would not be surprising seeing the attempts of   vilification on this set of  activists(pitting one set of activists  against another to buy more indefinite time) 

 

the visibly cheap predatory stance of govt. in case of Jagan (clean when with us and suspect when not with us)

 

At least next time in public fora they should not lectures indians: on virtues...follow process etc.

Any case let's wait and see...how support is pouring in ...
