Chelsea are five points clear at the top of the Premier League – and
they received more good news today when Frank Lampard announced
himself fit for this weekend’s clash with Liverpool.
The England midfielder has been out of action for 11 weeks with a
groin injury.
But he is now back to near full fitness and Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti
has earmarked him for a place in the starting line-up at Anfield.
Ancelotti said: “Lampard started training with the team last week.
“I hope he will come back quickly because we need to have this kind of
