Thanks for the PI. However, the PI should bear the valid TFDA registration number of the the vaccine. Otherwise the PI will be rejected by TFDA.

TFDA means: Tanzania Food and Drugs Authority. please arrange to ship the consignment after Christmas.

Dear Paul,

Thanks for your response. The MSD policy is that goods with shelf life below 80% can not be accepted. We have authorized you to ship 15000 doses based on the stock on hand, current consumption trend and good customer relationship with Sanofi. If we accept 30000 doses it is most likely that part of the consignment of the product will expiry in our warehouse. We therefore insist that you have to deliver 15000 doses in December 2014.

I understand your concern on the shelf life. However, due to unpredictability of stock availability, I propose you consider taking all 30,000 doses now as the SL is still reasonably good at 70%.

Since the shelf life of the available product is less than 80%, kindly arrange to ship only 15,000 doses. A formal communication will be made with regards to when the delivery of remaining 15,000 doses (with at least 80% remaining shelf life) will be made. Please note that proforma invoice for 15,000 doses should be submitted as soon as possible so that we can start processing the import permit before arrival of the goods.

Dear Njoroge,
Its true that 30000 doses are pending delivery. However, before we authorize you to dispatch the consignment we need to understand the manufacturing and expiry dates of the vaccine and diluent respectively.
