greetings fine foodies!

are you there? how's it going in the busy time of spring?

i'm wondering because my sources indicate that only one person viewed my last email regarding a stuff swap. evidently, no one is 'lining up behind' my idea.

but do not fear! i am not easily foiled, and will continue my attempts to cultivate community around urban agriculture in sacramento. so far there are 16 people connected with this email group. what a fantastic start! **pats self on back** (you pat yourself too!)

i still think an exchange is a good idea, just now is not the right time. so, any other ideas? how can we get this thing going? how can we build momentum and let people use this network to transform communities so we can thrive?

for example, i met a woman who needs people to pressure sacramento city college into letting the "farm" (it's a few raised beds at the moment) start a compost system. she needs a platform to gather support. there is a need for an urban agriculture alliance, that much i'm sure of.

i'm going to continue working on building this email group. i'm sure another idea will present itself when the time is ripe.
