WARNING!! Don’t open if you’re squeamish!!

There are many ways to die in the aviation business.  This is but one

of them.  The only consolation to his family and friends – is that he

felt no pain.  An instant death, instantly reduced to smithereens.

The consequences of untrained ground personnel or unsupervised general

public on the ramp, with engines running.  But in any case, the pilots

will be grounded until investigations are complete.

Exercise extreme caution if instructed to start an engine with ground

personal moving in the close proximity of the engine or unsupervised

general public standing around or in close proximity of the aircraft.

This especially applies with aircraft of this size, though people have

died- being sucked into the engine – on smaller airliners like Boeing

727s.

Witness the suction power of the jet engine!
