Hi friends,

Not sure if the incidents below are confirmed true but nonetheless, please circulate to others so that we might all be aware of it and keep a look out.

The news is from one of the parents of a child in Min Sin School (opp PISA Penang). Apparently parents there have noticed that there are at least two cars constantly parked around the schools (Min Sin & Chong Cheng, Sg Ara) and the occupants do not seem to be picking up any of the school kids. They have said that the occupants of the cars are Indian/Chinese/Malay men, and the cars are heavily tinted. Police have been informed.

Yesterday, a parent left one of her children in the car while she went down to send her other kid to school, and one of the occupants of this suspicious car tried to open the car door of the vehicle with the kid in it. The other parents who noticed what was happening informed the school guard. And again, another report that police managed to apprehend one of these suspicious persons and has him in custody.

Police apparently have confirmed that there is a syndicate moving to Penang that kidnaps kids or perpetrate other crimes, so please be aware. So far, the number plates of the two cars in question are known, but again, number plates can be easily replaced. It makes sense that the cars would be heavily tinted though. Parents have to be vigilant and aware of the surroundings. And, a shift in mindset is necessary, to be less self-absorbed and more community minded, more caring and less self-serving. We need to take care of not only our own children so that it is more difficult for these criminals to steal what is not theirs.

WWJ8227 – Naza Ria (Black) – The HM of Min Sin confirmed that this is a stolen car, the suspect is said to be apprehended this morning by plainclothes police near the school.

Another car sighted with the reg beginning with WUM but no further details.

Please help circulate, and also verbally inform those who take care of kids, like the day care centers, school bus drivers, etc. Thanks.
