There's a large overlap between the BJP and AAP constituencies, as has been pointedly, even if rather fleetingly, flagged here by Ravish Kumar.

So much so that in November 2014, in the run-up to the Delhi state poll, for a (short) while, the AAP slogan was: Modi for PM, Arvind for CM. (Ref.: <https://www.indiatoday.in/india/north/story/aap-campaign-in-website-delhi-speaks-modi-for-pm-and-arvind-for-chief-minister-226273-2014-11-07>.)
During the campaign for the last Gujarat poll, Kejriwal raised the demand that Indian currencies must carry the images of goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha -- together with that of Gandhiji, in order to cure the ills of Indian economy. (Ref.: <https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/to-improve-indias-economy-print-images-of-hindu-deities-ganesh-lakshmi-on-currency-kejriwal-tells-modi/article66056096.ece/amp/>.)

On top of that, Kejriwal has his very own distinctive, and effective, style of catching eyeballs -- via sensational claims.
These two things, in combination, have been amply captured here.

Of course, Modi is very much an autocratic leader. He hates even the hint of a challenger -- in whatever corner.
He also relentlessly pursues the political ideology of Hindu nationalism or "Hindutva".
And relentlessly converting Indian democracy -- with its warts and all -- into a Putinist Democracy. All the paraphernalia in place but neatly stripped of the soul. Freed of any opposition -- organised or even otherwise.
