Warm greetings!
It gives me immense pleasure to see you all in this forum. There was a meeting held at Chennai between Delegates from our school and the alumni last week . The entire session went meaningful. Few ideas, suggestions, requests were put forth from both the sides.
I would like to present the happenings to you. Please contemplate the points mentioned here. We seek your active participation, patronage as going forward.
Meeting Details:
The delegates, who represented our school, were Rev. Fr. Edward, Amalraj Sir, Antony Joseph Raj Sir(Drill sir), Rex Sir, Bellarmin Sir. Around 20 alumni from various parts of Chennai gathered and participated attentively.
Venue :
St. Antony’s Church, Maduravoil, Chennai
Timings & Date :
2-5PM, 13-FEB-2011.
Intention :
The main intention of this meeting was to bring all our alumni into a single forum where they can communicate, act towards the welfare of the school and the students. The urgent need of constructing the lab facility for our school took the top place in our discussion.
Requests & Suggestions put forth from School side:
· Seeking contribution from the alumni in terms of fund, support
· Starting a association with the ambition of serving student needs.
Assurances, Suggestions given from Alumni side:
· Offered our support in building the new lab facility. The old students are committed to spread this message to all our old students and get the funding for the construction as our contribution.
· Starting a library with internet facility and providing access to the students.
· Career orientation program to the SSLC, +2 students.
· Introduction of English language Development program.
Action Items:
The remaining actions items remain unattended as of now. Our correspondent has assured in implementing those gradually in coming future. Thank you for your patience in reading the entire letter! You are welcome to raise your suggestions and questions.
