Hi,
I'm Amy. First of all I just wanted to say that I really liked the
spiritual aspect of your art, having to look to the wood for your
inspiration.

My question isn't related to work but to you as a working artist.
Lately I haven't even want to touch my art and I was wondering what
you do to get yourself motivated when you are in a slum.

Hi Amy,
Well, when I’m not feeling in the mood to paint, I pray, burn
sweetgrass which is one of the sacred herbs (sage, tobacco, and cedar)
to bring ancestors to help. I pray and I listen to music to put me in
the mood. If I’m feeling in a real funk, I listen to the music really
loud, or I’ll go look at some artwork and find some more inspiration.
I hope this answers your question and thank you for your good words.
Were you there on Thursday? It was a great show. I just loved it.
I’m getting all the photos together to send to you guys,
Take care,
LauraLee
