Retreats!

This thread is for sharing how retreats are used in your ministry.
What retreats do you do in your parish? How many do you offer a
year? Are they overnight, weekend, day-long? Why do you offer
retreats to young people? What are your success stories? What are
your horror stories? What is your personal experience with retreats?
How have they enhanced and/or challenged your faith life?

Hello!

I am Flora and I am a youth minister at St. James Parish in Davis,
CA. We do two retreats a year. One is a winter snow trip and the
other is a summer trip. Both retreats are overnight and and are
weekend retreats. We offer retreats because I find that teens bond a
lot better when they are outside their usual environment. I don't
have time to write stories but they have been amazing; I still
remember the ones that I went on when I was in youth group. We are
having our annual snow trip this year February 6-8th!
