Having just fixed my scanner, I'm now chasing a performance upgrade, as the original PC isn't very fast when dealing with Max-resolution TIFF files. I've installed Windows 7 on a new PC and installed the MFS/RD5 film scanner driver, the Lockstar key driver, the registry keys and moved the rsystem folder. I have also transferred the original PCI FireWire card (VIA VT6306) to the new computer.
The scanner appears in the Device Manager (MFS Film Scanner), however, Phenix doesn't recognize it. What do I do next?
Which Windows on new computer - Windows 2000, XP, or W7 x86? Did you transfer all Konica drivers, which where installed on Windows? Try to clone original HD, find missing drivers and after that.run Phoenix.
I've tried a couple of things and I'm still having no success whatsoever. All of my drivers and services are correctly installed. I've found this topic by Zarat in which they describe the same problem I'm facing. (ERR-L1179) However, I can see that they managed to solve their problem and I was wondering if anybody had some extra ideas.
But some time ago you had communication with scanner and just was motor error. Use original HD image on new computer. If all work only then can try to run on different Windows. Konica software was created to work on Windows 2000 PRO, but perfectly worked on Windows XP.
Thank you so much for your patience. I do have the original KIC-1 PC, but was looking for an upgrade. The Windows 2000 image I have didn't work on a new pc and crashed with a bluescreen no matter what I did. However, I never even thought to try Windows XP on the new computer - and it worked like a charm, right out of the box, without even having to install the Visual Basic 6.0 dependencies! Thank you so much!
hello dumidumi. I really hope you will read this message one day. I am currently searching for the original software of the KIC-1 PC. Do you have any diskette youcan upload a backup on the net? Or even a backup of the software. I really need them. Drivers, programs, in fact a whole HD backup would be great. Thanks.
Your scanner and minilab backup can have only yourself. Backups are individual. One miniab, or scanner backup will not match with other minilab. Backup can do, or load on Konica menu. There are three backups - factory data, maintenance data and data with current settings.
Old computer is not powerfull. Better to use some new computer, where can install 32 bit Windows ( x86 ) . Then system will work faster. How works original computer and new computer you can see here :

I have all software, drivers, recovery CDs and many other. Also know how to install on new computer. Also have dongles, and licences. Licences to your dongle can transfer online. If have minilab can add long length ( 491 mm instead 382 mm ) . Also can help to convert ecojet ( tablet ) processor into system with liquid replenishment.
Our machine lost connection with screen, we try out a new vga cable but it does not worked problem. also we tried couple of different screens and im wonderin if the problem is inside konica's pc that have old windows2000 and it cannot read anymore screens?. Can we change PC to a new one and does the konicas programm work with new computer?
I have software, drivers and know how to install everything on newer computers. Also into R1, or R2 dongle can add new R3 optional modules. On minilab can add long print ( 491 mm ) . Also can help convert ecojet ( tablet ) processor into liquid replenishment.
DP-1000 Workstation software typically refers to a specific software application designed for data processing or data analysis tasks. To use DP-1000 on different PCs, you would typically need to install the software on each individual computer where you want to use it. This allows users to perform data-related tasks using DP-1000 on separate machines, ensuring flexibility and scalability in their data analysis workflows. Additionally, users may need to ensure proper licensing and compatibility stylish dp with the operating systems of each PC to run DP-1000 effectively across different devices.
Of course on computer need install software. Just one problem - Konica software is for Windows 2000 , but without problems works on Windows XP. If to install software on W7, or W10 software will not work. Even if to manage to run software it will not see scanner.
I found solution how to run software and know what to do to enable scanner on software. Even started software on 64 bit Windows, but can't connect scanner ( because 64 bit scanner driver doesn't exist ) .
Hi There, I have installed a machine with a Windows 7 upgrade, and I am trying to get the DS-1000 scanner to work with Phenix software. I got a scanner driver ERR-x14-0 (driver specified by FBS maker not installed). The scanner shows as installed in the Windows device manager.
It is typical, that W7, or W10 device manager see scanner, but software doesn't see it. I have all software, upgrades, drivers, self made plug-in and know how to install everything. Result can see on my post above. There scanner "Ready to scan" on W10 x86 ( 32 bit ) . Scanner connected to not original firewire card with PCI Express ( PCIe-x1 ) slot. The latest software version for DS-1000 is 2.00R01E . Write private message, if interested.
Konica software perfectly works on 64 bit Windows. Sorry, but can't connect scanner there. 64 bit scanner driver doesn't exist. Need modify scanner driver files ( MFS.sys and FSDRV.dll ) and force to work on 64 bit systems.
