Dear Antonian,

I am writing this as a follow up to a very successful OACW 2015 AGM, and I wanted to make sure in particular, to thank all the members who found the time to participate and make it happen. For those of you who did not attend, we had excellent morning speakers in Rev. Father principal, Mr. Murshid Maharoof - the president of OBA Colombo branch, Mr. Priyantha Ekanayake and Mr. Romesh Peters from UK branch.  It is a good review of some of the key issues with regard to Antonian Cricket, with some excellent contextual comments offered from the floor by Mr. Salinda Gunasinghe. Our new committee has been elected, and our positions for 2015 will be notified by our newly elected chief operating officer, Mr. Prasanna Jayalath.

Mr. Russell De La Motte is rejoining the Board after a much deserved break - He was one of our Vice Presidents when OACW was formed in 2000, and I am happy to see him back.  We have a solid Board that has grown together nicely, and I am hopeful that 2015 will be a productive year for OACW and SACK cricket. The Board will meet for its first committee meeting in June (date not confirmed yet) where we expect to hammer out our plans for the year and how we can continue working towards our longterm vision for SACK cricket and OACW.
The membership at the AGM was on a whole very supportive of our plans for SACK cricket,

Special thanks of course to an amazing working group of Prasanna Jayalath, Ranjith Peiris, Ajaz Shafeek, Chandika Jayawardena, Indika Galagoda, Sampath Bulathgama, Asela Herath, Nishan Doranegama, Sivakumar and members of G98 who have invested many hours in creating this AGM productive.  Prasanna Jayalath's innovative ideas (and the extra work he put into developing the new operational structure) deserves a  particular and special note.

Those who attended the AGM also got a sneak peak into our new cricket development plan.

OACW is at an exciting point in its development as an organization, and I will be working with each of the Committee Chairs to refine our focus and build on the great work that has been done since this organizaton was first founded.  As always, I would like to extend an open invitation to all Antonians to contribute your ideas and energy in order to develop SACK cricket.

I will write again to give you more details about how we are working to move SACK cricket forward.

Until then, thank you all for your interest and involvement.

Piyal Wijetunge
President, OACW
